This allows you to scoop out what you need and leave the rest in the package for the next day. No refrigeration or freezing necessary. Your parrot will have FRESH chop every day. Our chop is made with: kale, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, sweet pepper,s yellow squash,, red cabbage, apples, and strawberries, We offer 2 sizes of packages for your convenience. The small bag holds 1.5 cups and the larger bag holds 4 cups.
To serve: spoon out the amount you wish to serve your bird. A serving is approximately the size of your bird's head. Add a very SMALL amount of liquid, just enough to wet it a tiny bit. Fluff the chop around with a fork and serve. The chop can be rehydrated with water or fruit juice or may be served dry.
One month in, Kiwi has now accepted Harrison’s pellets, but only picks at the chop I make in the morning, and won’t touch the healthy organic pellets from Bird Tricks. Today I tried adding the freeze dried chop without water to the pellets. Success! I guess he likes the crunch of it.
I have been buying this chop for at least over a year. My gcc loves it as does my cockatiel. The smaller bags last them a couple months. I assume the larger will last closer to a half or maybe a full year.
I mix the dried veggies into my birds‘ mash and they eat every morsel! I can tell it’s healthy for them by the color and shine of their feathers. I have bought this product several times and try never to run out!
My GCC loves this chop! It’s the perfect size and mix of veggies. He eats it every day. I highly recommend!
I recently had a somewhat debilitating spinal injury and can’t stand more than a few minutes. This has been a lifesaver as I can easily provide my parrots with the variety they need while I can’t make my own chop. Honestly, they prefer it more. I also buy added goodies like jalapeños, herbs, and pomegranates. Everything is top notch!
